Names:

Sarah Ringstrom & Ryan Foley

Wedding Website:

We have our wedding website through the Wedding Channel. Our site pretty much sucks since I don’t spend any time on it and the functionality is not great, but it is free and I knew that I would not really use it other than to convey basic information. www.ringstromandfoley.weddings.com

Where is home?:

Austin for the moment, although we will be moving to Dallas soon.

Why an Austin wedding?: Ryan & I met at UT while we were attending business school. We actually met during preview weekend when the school hosts those students who have been accepted, but are still deciding which school to attend.

Length of engagement?:

We have been engaged almost a year to the day. At the time of the wedding, we will have been engaged almost 16 months.

How long until the wedding?:

For short months. Yikes. I hadn't really thought about that!! I better start getting serious about my diet!

Who did you first tell you were engaged?:

Our parents.

If you had to start over in your wedding planning, what one thing would you do differently?:

Really nothing. That is not to say this has been a flawless planning process. We have had such a long engagement that we have had plenty of time to plan. Planning all of the last minute details is really going to be the challenge. The logistics of dealing with a 250 person wedding where 90% of the guests are from out of town is not easy. We also have a 26 person wedding party, so just getting to the rehearsal, logistically speaking, takes planning.

During the ceremony, who will be the first to cry?:

Oh please, me, of course.

What are your three favorite blogs / websites (besides STC's)?:

I like the Knot and occasionally look at the Wedding Bee as well.

Why did you hire a wedding coordinator? OR When selecting someone to entrust with your wedding day, why did you choose STC?:

We are having a large wedding. Neither of our families lives in Austin, so there is not a support system for planning. There is only so much leaning on your friends you can do. The idea of coordinating alone was daunting. Plus, as far as day of, the last thing I want to do is care about the details. I’ll leave that to the professionals. I am really not a bridezilla as you can tell by my crappy wedding website and the fact that I don’t really spend time on wedding blogs/websites. I did, however, interview FOUR wedding coordinators because I wanted my wedding handled by an experience professional. STC stood out from the pack.

Much love, Resha
