There are many things that I love about the wedding planning process. However, one of my favorite things is learning about the couples, and seeing their personalities shine through during their event. I believe that the key to a beautiful event is incorporating elements of your life, and special memories into your wedding or party.

There are endless ways of doing this. For example, if you have a loving grandma that has a special jam recipe that you grew up eating, you can get miniature jars of jam and use them as your place cards or as your favors for your wedding day. You can attach a little note to each, that explains to your guests why this recipe is so special to you. Another idea would be to include a CD in your guests' out of town bags with a mix of songs that are special and meaningful to the couple. Lastly, if you and your fiancé shared a Mojito at that local Cuban restaurant on your first date, you can tie the memory of that day into your wedding by making your signature drink a Mojito. That way your guests feel like they are sharing something special with the couple, rather than just attending another wedding. There are so many ways to tailor your event to let your personalities shine through - you just have to get creative and have fun with it!
