Give Back

A powerful emerging trend is giving back through your wedding. Something like donating leftover flowers to a local nursing home or to a hospital to cheer up patients, or ensuring that there is no wasted food by giving leftovers to a nearby soup kitchen can have a huge impact. Also even though it may be hard to part with, your wedding dress or brides maids dresses can be donated to organizations such as Project Princess.

You can also donate on behalf of your guests instead of giving wedding favors. To let your guests know, leave a note at each table setting or put something in the program such as: "Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding. A donation has been made in your name to (charity name)."

The I Do Foundation provides many ways to make a difference through your wedding such as, donating a percent of gifts purchased on your registry or giving guests the option to donate to a charity in lieu of gifts through your personalized wedding website.

Instead of indicating that you would like guests to give to a charity on the invitation, ask parents and bridesmaids to let anyone who asks know that you would prefer charitable donations or set up your wedding web page with the I Do Foundation.

Incorporating giving back into your wedding is a beautiful way to share your love with others.
