Proposal Stories
On Monday, I stumbled upon a proposal in-action! One of the blogs I stalk is
- she has great tips for cooking, photography, and all things crafty, plus she's just a great writer. Anyway, she did a photoshop segment on
where she used a picture of her engagement ring (in its original box) as the subject.
She went on to talk about different photoshop actions, showing what each would do to the photo.
Then, the original photo with this text:
Ahhhh. That’s better. Just a simple, straightforward, unadorned photo of an engagement ring. MY engagement ring. The engagement ring that my beloved, Marlboro Man, gave me so many years ago.
Or maybe…
Or maybe…
Or maybe not.
Maybe this isn’t my ring at all.
Maybe I made up the whole part about this being MY ring.
Maybe this is someone ELSE’s ring.
Maybe, just maybe, I know this boy. Maybe I know this boy who’s in love with this girl. And maybe this boy I know who’s in love with this girl has this ring in his hand right now, and he’s waiting at her apartment with a bouquet of flowers and a full heart and many hopes and dreams for their future together.
Maybe…
You know what? Maybe I should just be quiet…and let the ring do the talking.
Yeah. I think that sounds like a plan.
Hey, Randall? I think you’d better run home now. There’s someone waiting for you there.
Positively drowning in romance,
Pioneer Woman
How great is that!? Apparently, Randall stalks the Pioneer Woman's blog too, and Drew knows it. You can get the rest of the story
- it's a happy ending. :)
So, I think everyone knows a great proposal story - maybe you're even lucky enough to have been the subject! Share your great proposal stories here. I'll go grab some tissues...
