Michelle and Eric, Kali Kate Lodge | Austin Wedding Planner

Michelle and Eric planned this Austin wedding from a distance - something that's becoming more and more common! All of our meetings took place over the phone and we actually didn't meet face-to-face until the rehearsal. But I knew her the second I saw her - I really enjoyed getting to know her over the phone and was so honored to be part of her amazing day!

This laid-back reception was full of Texas charm - from tables named after Texas towns to guest favors of lucky horseshoes! The live band was great and it was such a treat when Michelle's grandpa whipped out his guitar and jumped right in. I have no doubt this celebration will be one their guests remember for many, many years to come.

Jess and Doug, Kali-Kate Lodge | Austin Wedding Planner

I'm trying to remember when it was that I first met Jess... probably 1999? Maybe 2000? Her sister, Allison, went to college with me, was in the same bible study as me, and ended up marrying one of my dearest friends, Erik. So when Jess contacted me to tell me about Doug and their very recent engagement, I was ecstatic!

They wanted a fun, non-stuffy PARTY to celebrate their marriage. We found the perfect cast of vendors to pull off their wedding day. Delicious food was provided by Dagar's Catering, stunning flowers from Lexi with Society Finch, and sweets were provided by Amy's Ice Cream (mmmmmmm mexican vanilla), instead of the traditional cake. We also added another Eric to the mix - the talented Eric Hegwer. Below is just a taste.

Oh, and by the way, my friend Allison was the matron of honor and Erik was the officiant. I'm telling you - this wedding was near and dear to my heart. :)
